Drew Carey version kicks this version’s ass. This is boring.

(putting on nerd outfit) Um, I believe it’s actually Sammy Smith, veteran musical theater guy, who also doubles as Mr. Twimble in this great movie as well.

No joke — take a closer look 2:56, “Wally” the old guy in the red chair is in fact Moe Howard, but it’s not him singing.

Yes, Fosse did choreograph this film. You can tell the movements are simple yet they seem complex, a Fosse trademark.
If you see the film in it’s entirity, the number “A Secretary is Not A Toy” is classic Fosse.

Could someone please help me find one of Robert Morse’s most uncommon, but awesome and biblical involvements? In 1982, he did a TV Series called The Good Book, playing as the narrator, host, and some of the other characters where they tell the stories of the Bible and make it hilarious at the same time. I saw the Daniel and the Lions Den once as a kid and I really like it.

I have always thought this movie was hilarious, especially this scene with a bunch of old men in suits doing a musical number. So original.

MrJoe, I have not read the comments first which I usually do, but I saw your comment right away and now i know it would be a waste of time to read the others if they are being goofy.. I assumed every one would enjoy it. Well, back to the vid for me I LOVE THIS SHOW!!

P.S.Knowing me I will go back and read the comments. But YES THIS IS GREAT

I would like to find a vid of Robert Morse doing his live stage version of Truman Capote!!

Why is everyone getting so philosophical in their analysis? It’s just a movie!!! Robert Morse did a great job in a movie that portrayed the time in which it was written. Like all great shows, it has stood the test of time and become a classic. Leave the psycho-analysis out of it and just sit back and enjoy the show!!!

Two stories about movie acting:
John Wayne, who was no great actor but certainly presence, was terrified with his first feature. Ford said “You don’t act as much as react,” which is similar to Dom Purcell’s story of acting class with a woman writhed with emotion. At end Teach said “Dom did it perfectly. he reacted.”

Burt Reynolds told Spencer Tracy he was an actor. Tracy said “Just don’t let anyone catch you doing it.”

At least part of it is stage acting vs. movie acting. Everything is exaggerated on Broadway. Movie demand subtle. That was one of Zero Mostel’s problems.
